Scottsdale, AZ – Injuries Reported in Serious Crash Near Cactus Rd
Scottsdale, AZ (January 1, 2020) – Officers from the Scottsdale Police Department are investigating a serious multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Wednesday night.
A serious crash closed Cactus Road in both directions between Interstate 17 and 25th Avenue around 9:00 p.m. Details were not immediately available, but officers said the northbound I-17 exit ramp at Cactus Road was closed, as well. Sgt. Tommy Thompson of the Phoenix Police Department said he expected to have more information about the crash on Thursday, though he did say that police had Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard closed near 100th Street while they worked to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the wreck.
Local EMTs were also at the scene to treat injured victims and appeared to transport at least one person to the hospital.
