Scottsdale, AZ (March 12, 2020) – Multiple vehicles collided and blocked the on-ramp to Loop 101 on Thursday afternoon, causing several injuries and traffic jams in the area.

Per information from officials on the scene, the multi-car accident occurred when several passenger vehicles collided in the Loop 101 westbound on-ramp, also called the Pima Freeway, at Scottsdale Road. 

Fire rescue units and police authorities were on the scene to assist the injured victims and determine the cause of the wreck, though the extent of the injuries is not known at this time. Local police responded to the accident around 6:00 p.m. but have not released further details.

The investigation is ongoing.
