Scottsdale, AZ (November 5, 2020) – Officers with the Scottsdale Police Department are investigating an accident that left a pedestrian dead on Thursday morning.

Per reports from Scottsdale police, the crash happened around 10:00 a.m. near 105th Street and McDowell Mountain Ranch Road. Police say that 105th Street south of McDowell Mountain Ranch Road was closed to all traffic while they investigated. Local EMTs were photographed at the scene, but it’s unclear whether they were able to transport the victim to an area medical center before they were pronounced deceased.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have not said whether impairment was involved or the events that led to the crash. The identities of the deceased victim and the driver involved have not been released at this time.
