Sunset Point, AZ (May 17, 2020) – Police officials say that injuries were reported in a car crash that occurred on Interstate 17 on Sunday.

According to officials from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, at least two vehicles were involved in the accident, which occurred around 3:30 p.m. on I-17 southbound at milepost 256 and Sunset Point, just outside of Bumble Bee.

It’s unclear how the wreck occurred at this time, though officers were still collecting evidence at the scene and say that the vehicles collided in the left lanes. Rescue units were also at the scene to treat victims and appeared to transport one victim to an area hospital.
