Surprise, AZ – Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Injuries on I-10 at Citrus Rd
Surprise, AZ (October 28, 2020) – Deputies from the Surprise Police Department are investigating an injury crash that occurred on Interstate 10 near Citrus Road on Wednesday evening.
Chandler police say that at least one person was injured in the crash, which occurred on westbound Interstate 10 just outside Phoenix on Wednesday during rush hour. Officers say that the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. near the Citrus Road off-ramp.
While police have not released any specific details, the Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed that the crash occurred and noted that at least two vehicles were involved.
Aerial photos showed that the right lane of Interstate 10 westbound was closed as a result of the accident, though it’s unclear how many vehicles were involved in the accident. The investigation into the accident continues at this time, and identifying information about the victims has not been released.
