Tempe, AZ – Injuries Reported & Arrest Made in Hit-and-Run Wreck at Mill Ave
Tempe, AZ (June 21, 2020) – A man is facing charges in connection to a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Saturday.
According to officers with the Tempe Police Department, the incident occurred near Mill Avenue and Hermosa Drive around 9:00 p.m. Officers spotted a vehicle they believed to be involved in the crash while responding to a hit-and-run accident reported in the area. They tried to stop the vehicle, but it continued to flee the scene.
The vehicle eventually stopped on Loop 101 near the Elliot Road exit. After a brief struggle, the man surrendered to officers and was arrested at the scene. EMTs responded to the accident scene at Hermosa Drive but have not commented on the other drivers’ current condition.
Officers are investigating whether or not impairment is a factor and have not released further details.
