Tempe, AZ (March 11, 2020) – A pedestrian crossing the street in Tempe on Tuesday night was hit by a car and had to be rushed to the hospital.

According to officers from the Tempe Police Department, the accident happened around 8:00 p.m. near Warner Road and Kyrene Road. Police say the victim was crossing outside of a crosswalk when a car struck them.

The driver of the car was an adult male, and police say impairment was not a factor. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital via ambulance with possible life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
