Tempe, AZ (October 19, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a pedestrian accident that occurred on a major Valley freeway Saturday night.

Per reports from officers with the Tempe Police Department, the incident occurred around 6:25 p.m. on southbound Loop 101, also known as the Price Freeway, at Broadway Road. Authorities closed L-101 for more than an hour while they worked to clear the scene and investigated the cause of the accident.

Phoenix EMTs arrived at the scene shortly after the incident occurred to transport the injured pedestrian to an area hospital. Their current condition is unknown, however, and officers did not state if the driver involved stayed at the scene.
