Tempe, AZ (May 8, 2020) – The eastbound lanes of the U.S. 60 in Tempe were closed following a serious crash on Friday night.

According to officers from the Tempe Police Department, the accident happened near McClintock Drive around 11:00 p.m. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said that the crash was caused by a car that rear-ended another vehicle in the right lane and McClintock exit ramp.

A total of two vehicles were involved. At least two people had to be treated for injuries, though the extent of those injuries is unknown.

An investigation is ongoing.
