Tempe, AZ (June 27, 2020) – A man and a woman were hospitalized with possible life-threatening injuries after a car crash in Tempe on Saturday night.

Per reports from officers with the Tempe Police Department, the wreck happened in the area of Priest Drive and Alameda Drive. The man was driving and the woman was in the passenger seat when their vehicle crashed into a pole. Both needed to be pulled from the car by fire rescue units, who arrived at the scene shortly after the accident occurred.

Tempe police said that officers are investigating impairment as a possible factor in the accident but have not released further details about the cause of the accident or the victims’ current conditions at this time.
