Fatal Bike Accidents in Arizona
According to recent data released by the Arizona Department of Transportation, deadly bike injuries are on the rise throughout the state. In fact, approximately 40% of fatal bicycle crashes were caused by distracted drivers hitting cyclists, even when riders used bike lanes or the sidewalk to observe traffic regulations.
Furthermore, cyclists are particularly vulnerable to serious injury or death after a bike crash. Due to the fact that bicyclists do not have the protection of passenger vehicles, riders may be subject to more severe consequences as a result of an accident.
Exorbitant treatment costs, long-term health conditions, and serious mental distress frequently plague these victims. And if victims succumb to their injuries, their family members and loved ones are left to pick up the pieces. However, the victims and families affected by these bicycle accidents can seek legal aid from a skilled injury and wrongful death lawyer in Phoenix or Mesa.
