Tucson, AZ (October 21, 2019) – A man and a woman were both seriously injured in a vehicle accident on Monday morning.

According to officials from the Tucson Police Department, the pair were injured in a crash involving an SUV and a car at East 22nd Street and South Alvernon Way. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m., per a report from Officer Ray Smith, a Tucson police spokesman. The man suffered life-threatening injuries and the woman was seriously injured. Bother were taken to a local area hospital via ambulance. 

The other driver involved remained at the scene, Smith said. The intersection was reopened at 9:00 a.m., though the accident remains under investigation at this time.
