Tucson, AZ – Fatality Reported in Multi-Car Crash on I-10 at Speedway Blvd
Tucson, AZ (January 16, 2020) – Parts of the Interstate 10 interchange at Speedway Boulevard were closed after a deadly crash late Thursday night.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a vehicle was traveling the wrong way on the frontage road of I-10 when it crashed near Speedway Boulevard. Freeway ramps were restricted and Speedway was closed in both directions under the freeway while police investigated the accident.
One person died and another was taken to the hospital for treatment, per reports from fire rescue units and Tucson EMTs. The condition of the second person involved in the crash was not released.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
