Tucson, AZ (September 22, 2019) – A Tucson man was killed after he was struck by a truck on Saturday night.

According to officers from the Tucson Police Department, the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on the roadway near East Grant Road and North Columbus Boulevard. Per information from a department press release, the driver of a 1999 Ford Pickup Truck was traveling eastbound on Grand near Columbus when the pedestrian crossed in front of the pickup truck.

Police say that the man was not using a crosswalk at the time of the crash. Tucson emergency medical technicians were at the scene and transported the man to an area hospital, but he died shortly after arrival.

Officers are still investigating, though no citations or arrests have been made.
