Tucson, AZ (October 12, 2019) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle on Valencia Road Saturday night.

Officials from the Tucson Police Department closed the eastbound lanes of Valencia Road between 12th and Sixth Avenues for a few hours while they investigated the crash. The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. Officer Frank Magos, a Tucson Police Department spokesman, said that the pedestrian who was hit is an adult male. The man was transported to an area hospital via ambulance by Tucson paramedics with serious injuries.

The driver remained on the scene after the crash and cooperated with authorities. Police say that the cause of the accident is still under investigation and the man remains in serious but stable condition.
