Tucson, AZ – UPDATE: Cesar Hildago Arrested After Carjacking & Injury Wreck on Grant Rd
Tucson, AZ (October 19, 2019) – A man has been arrested after carjacking and crashing a truck on Tucson’s south side earlier this week.
On Wednesday, Cesar Hildago, 18, crashed the stolen truck near Grant Road and Stone Avenue. According to Sgt. Pete Dugan, Tucson Police Department spokesman, Hildago then drove it to midtown where he damaged six other vehicles. Hildago tried to leave the scene of the crash on foot but was apprehended by Pima Community College Police from the nearby campus.
Hildago is facing multiple felony charges, including armed robbery, criminal damage, aggravated assault, and auto theft. Some of the victims were hospitalized as a result of the crash and carjacking, though they are expected to recover.
Hildago is currently being held at Pima County jail on a $50,000 bond.
