Tucson, AZ – Victim Killed in Pedestrian Accident on W Calle Matus at Grant Rd
Tucson, AZ (December 19, 2020) – One person is dead after a pedestrian crash occurred in central Tucson on Thursday night, according to officers with the Tucson Police Department.
Police say that the incident happened at the 700 block of West Calle Matus, near Grant Road and Oracle Road. Police say that a pickup truck was heading northbound on 15th Avenue when it left the roadway and drove through a fenced-in yard on the block. The victim was hit and killed while standing in the area.
The accident remains under investigation at this time, and no further details about the victim or the driver have been released. It’s unclear if impairment or speeding were factors in the crash.
