Tucson, AZ (November 27, 2020) – Officers with the Tucson Police Department are investigating a pedestrian crash that resulted in serious injuries on the west side Monday night.

Per reports from officers, northbound traffic on Silverbell Road was closed at West Grant Road while police conducted their investigation.

Officials were not able to say if whether the vehicle involved stayed at the scene and they did not give additional details about the vehicle or the driver. Local EMTs were on the scene and transported one victim to an area medical center. First responders reported that the victim sustained serious injuries in the pedestrian accident. Additional information was not available, and the identity of the victim has not been released.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
