Tucson, AZ (February 8, 2021) – A hit-and-run accident left one pedestrian seriously injured near the south side of Tucson on Monday evening, according to reports from officers with the Tucson Police Department.

Officers say that they responded to the area of 4th Avenue and 25th Street around 8:00 p.m. At that time, they discovered the victim, identified only as an adult female, seriously injured. She was taken to the hospital via ambulance with life-threatening injuries, TPD says.

The suspect vehicle is outstanding at this time, and there are no details about the events leading up to the crash. Specific information about the driver involved or the make and model of their vehicle has also not been released.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
