Tucson, AZ (January 15, 2021) – A woman has died after being struck by a car in the 8500 block of East Broadway Boulevard on Thursday evening.

According to information released by the Tucson Police Department, the woman was trying to cross Broadway Boulevard from the north and was struck by a 2011 Toyota Camry traveling eastbound. Medics from the Tucson Fire Department were dispatched to the scene shortly after the crash occurred. EMTs transported the woman to St. Joseph’s Hospital via ambulance for treatment, but she later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver stayed at the scene, and officers with the TPD noted that the driver was not impaired at the time of the crash.

TPD officers are continuing to investigate and have not released further information at this time.
