Yuma, AZ (December 17, 2020) – A 50-year-old woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident with a Red GMC Sierra pickup truck early on Tuesday morning.

According to Battalion Chief Louie Carlos of the Somerton Cocopah Fire Department, the collision occurred around 7:35 a.m. in the area of Avenue G and County 14½ Street.

Ambulances and fire rescue units were on the scene and transported the woman to a local hospital via ambulance. However, the victims’ information and current condition have not been released. It’s unclear if any other victims sustained injuries in the accident, and the events leading up to the crash are also unknown at this time.

The accident remains under investigation, and officers with the Somerton Cocopah Police Department have not released further information.
