Yuma, AZ – Woman Killed & Three Injured in Two-Car Crash on Hwy 95 at County 21st St

Yuma, AZ (December 11, 2020) – Authorities with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) say that a car crash that occurred on Thursday night led to the death of a 26-year-old woman from San Luis and at least three injured victims.

Officers say that the fatal crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening. The wreck occurred on Highway 95 at County 21st Street in San Luis. Deputies say that Arlene Galvan was traveling northbound on Highway 95 when, for unknown reasons, she lost control of her vehicle. At that point, Galvan collided with a second vehicle.

Paramedics transported the driver and two passengers in the second vehicle to Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) via ambulance. They said that Galvan succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.

Deputies say the crash is still under investigation, but anyone with information on the crash is urged to contact YCSO.
