Yuma, AZ – Rodrigo Garza Killed in Motorcycle Crash on S Ave B
Yuma, AZ (January 2, 2021) – A motorcyclist has died after an accident in Yuma early Saturday morning.
Per reports from authorities, the accident occurred before 1:00 a.m. on Saturday. Police with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call on South Avenue B. Initial reports state that the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Avenue B when he collided with an Acura for an unknown reason.
The motorcyclist, identified as 23-year-old Rodrigo Garza of Yuma, was ejected in the crash and pronounced dead on the scene by local EMTs. It’s not clear if the individuals traveling in the Acura were injured in the accident.
The cause of the collision is under investigation, and the events leading up to the crash are unknown. However, impairment is not suspected at this time.
