Gila Bend, AZ – Three Killed in Truck Accident on SR 85 Near Pima St

Gila Bend, AZ (September 25, 2020) – Authorities with the Arizona Department of Public Safety are investigating a deadly crash that happened early Friday morning near Gila Bend.

DPS says that the crash occurred just before 9:00 a.m. on the State Route 85, directly south of Gila Bend. The crash involved a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle. The accident resulted in a fire and killed three people.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said that State Route 85 was closed in both directions at milepost 5 near Pima Street. No names or details on how the crash happened have been released, though investigators say that they’re still piecing together the events that led up to the crash.

The investigation into this crash is ongoing, and no charges have been filed.
