Mesa, AZ – Car Wreck Blocks Multiple Lanes on L-101 at McKellips


Mesa, AZ (July 10, 2019) – An auto accident on Tuesday morning, July 9th, blocked the HOV lane and two left lanes on Loop 101 southbound near McKellips Road.

According to officials, the incident occurred around 8:57 a.m. and caused traffic to slow for several miles. Reports indicated that the injury accident appeared to involve multiple vehicles that collided in the HOV lane and two left lanes of L-101 southbound.

Fire rescue and police units were dispatched to the scene and assisted the victims of the wreck. All lanes re-opened around 9:38 a.m., though the updated condition of the injured victim(s), as well as their identities, have not been released.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
