Mesa, AZ – Multi-Vehicle Accident Causes Injuries on US 60 at Stapley Dr

Mesa, AZ (October 12, 2019) – At least one person sustained serious injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on US 60 Saturday night, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The Phoenix Police Department and Mesa Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the scene of the crash around 7:15 p.m. The accident occurred on westbound US 60, also known as the Superstition Freeway, at the Stapley Drive off-ramp around 7:05 p.m. It appears that at least one victim was transported to an area hospital via ambulance after the multi-car accident, though their current condition remains unclear. It appears that three cars collided in the right lanes of the highway and all vehicles sustained serious damage.

The other victims were treated at the scene by Phoenix emergency medical technicians. Officials have not released further details but are continuing to investigate the accident.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
