Phoenix, AZ – Fatality Reported in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Wreck at 27th Ave
Phoenix, AZ (September 4, 2020) – Officers with the Phoenix Police Department are searching for a suspect responsible for a deadly hit-and-run accident that occurred in Phoenix on Thursday night.
Per reports from local authorities, police responded to the intersection of 27th Avenue and Indian School Road late Thursday night. Officers say that the accident involved a 48-year-old pedestrian and a motorcyclist. Witnesses said that the 48-year-old man was crossing 27th Avenue when the motorcyclist collided with him.
The motorcyclist lost control of his bike after striking the man and fled the scene. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital by Phoenix EMTs but he was later pronounced dead. He has not been identified, and a description of the suspect has not been released.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding this crash to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
