Phoenix, AZ – Hit-and-Run Crash Results in Injury at Osborn Rd

Phoenix, AZ (September 18, 2019) – A suspect in a hit-and-run crash threatened a victim of the accident before fleeing from Phoenix police on Wednesday afternoon.

According to officials, the suspect’s vehicle collided with the victim’s vehicle at the intersection of 16th Avenue and Osbourn Road. The suspect then exited his car, brandished a gun at the victim, and fled from officers. The suspect and other occupants of the vehicle sped away from the area of 16th Avenue and Osborn Road, then abandoned their vehicle to escape on foot, said Sgt. Maggie Cox, Phoenix police spokeswoman.

Phoenix police eventually apprehended the suspects but have not released their information at this time. Phoenix paramedics were at the scene to assist the victim of the accident, though it appears that EMTs treated the victim at the scene.

The investigation of the crash is ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Hit-and-Run Accidents in Arizona

As a result of car accidents across the state, more than 65,000 people are injured each year, with nearly 1,000 fatalities. Many of these crashes are hit-and-run wrecks, where the at-fault driver leaves the scene of the accident. Though leaving the scene of an accident is illegal in Arizona, hit-and-run wrecks are still common.

These accident circumstances leave victims in a tough position, where they’re often forced to face financial difficulties, injuries, and emotional trauma. But those affected can seek help from an accident lawyer, and in some cases, seek the justice and fair compensation they deserve after a crash.

At ELG Law, our skilled team of injury accident lawyers specializes in fighting for victims and their families after they’ve experienced these devastating accidents. Contact our accident attorneys today at (623) 562-3838 to schedule your free consultation.
