Phoenix, AZ – Injuries Reported in 2-Car Wreck on I-10 at 27th Ave

Phoenix, AZ (September 29, 2019) – At least one person was injured in a two-car crash on Interstate 10 Sunday afternoon.

Per reports from the Phoenix Police Department, one person was transported to a local hospital via ambulance after the two-car accident. Multiple units from the Phoenix Fire Department were at the scene to assist victims and treat injuries at the scene.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash, including a Chevrolet pickup truck and a sedan, but the cause of the accident is unclear. Both vehicles sustained considerable damage in the collision, which restricted all lanes on I-10, also known as the Papago Freeway, at the 27th Avenue off-ramp for nearly an hour.

Authorities say that the crash investigation is ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
