Phoenix, AZ (October 12, 2019) – Officers from the Phoenix Police Department are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that happened on Saturday afternoon.

Officials say that the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. near 19th and Glendale Avenues. The incident involved a Chevrolet Silverado and a KTM dual-sport motorcycle that collided in the intersection. Per reports from Phoenix police, the motorcyclist was riding eastbound when he passed a car and crashed into the Silverado that was making a turn onto Glendale Avenue.

The motorcyclist, identified as 26-year-old Ronald Osterman, was wearing a helmet but was pronounced dead at the scene. The 69-year-old man driving the Silverado was evaluated for impairment, but police say that impairment was not a factor in this crash. He sustained minor injuries as a result of the wreck.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
