Phoenix, AZ (July 27, 2019) – A serious injury accident on Saturday evening, July 27th, closed several lanes on I-17 southbound near Glendale Avenue.

Authorities were at the scene of the wreck around 8:13 p.m., which occurred when several vehicles traveling southbound collided on I-17, also known as the Black Canyon Freeway, near Glendale Avenue. Police and fire rescue units responded to the crash to assist victims and investigate the cause of the wreck, which appeared to involve at least two vehicles.

The crash blocked multiple lanes for several hours but was cleared around 12:00 a.m. However, the drivers’ information, as well as their conditions, have not been released at this time.
