Phoenix, AZ – UPDATE: Details Released in Fatal Motorcycle Wreck at Glendale Ave
Phoenix, AZ (October 13, 2019) – Officers from the Phoenix Police Department released further details after a deadly motorcycle crash occurred on Saturday afternoon.
Ronald Osterman, 26, died after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck that had pulled out in front of him, Phoenix police said. Osterman was driving eastbound on Glendale Avenue around 4:30 p.m. when a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by an unidentified 69-year-old man pulled in front of Osterman. The pickup truck driver was attempting to make a left turn onto westbound Glendale Avenue from 17th Avenue.
Rescue units from the Phoenix Fire Department arrived at the scene to assist Osterman. Osterman was wearing a helmet but was pronounced dead at the scene by fire rescue officials. Officers determined that the 69-year-old driver involved was not impaired, though they are continuing to investigate the crash.
