Tempe, AZ (July 12, 2019) – A car crash on Friday evening, July 12th, blocked the left lane of traffic on Loop 202 northbound, also known as Santan Freeway.

According to officials, the accident occurred on L-202 at Elliot Road around 8:26 p.m. and blocked the left lane. Reports say that the injury wreck involved multiple vehicles that collided while traveling northbound on L-202.

Both police and fire rescue units were on the scene to investigate the wreck and assist the injured victims. All lanes cleared just before 9:30 p.m., though the identities of the injured victim(s) and their conditions have not been released.

Officials were working to determine the cause of the crash.
