Tucson, AZ – Injuries Reported in Jackknife Accident on I-10 Near Ruthrauff Rd
Tucson, AZ (December 9, 2019) –A crash involving a jackknifed tractor-trailer caused heavy delays on westbound Interstate-10 and resulted in at least one injury on Monday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 6:00 a.m. near Ruthrauff Road. It’s unclear how the accident happened, though it appears that the truck may have hydroplaned and hit the guardrail, causing it to jackknife. Another vehicle collided with the truck after the initial collision.
Tucson paramedics were at the scene to treat the occupants of the passenger car. The truck driver’s identity, as well as their current condition, is not known at this time.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
