Avondale, AZ – Injuries Reported in Multi-Car Collision on I-10 at 99th Ave
Avondale, AZ (February 29, 2020) – On Saturday evening, a multi-car collision blocked the center lanes of Interstate 10 before 99th Avenue and resulted in at least one injury.
Local police officials reported that multiple passenger vehicles collided in the left and center lanes of I-10, also referred to as the Papago Freeway, just before 99th Avenue. Authorities were at the scene to assist injured victims and investigate the cause of the wreck, which occurred around 10:45 p.m. Witnesses say that one of the sedans rear-ended another vehicle and appeared to spin out on the highway.
Avondale police officers gathered the information of both drivers at the scene, but their identifying information and the extent of their injuries remain unknown at this time.
