Phoenix, AZ – Injuries Reported in Three-Car Crash on I-17 at Union Hills Dr
Phoenix, AZ (July 16, 2020) – At least three vehicles collided on Interstate 17 Thursday evening, resulting in injuries.
According to officers with the Phoenix Police Department, all three vehicles involved were traveling on I-17 northbound, also known as the Black Canyon Freeway, near Union Hills Drive and the Yorkshire off-ramp when the accident occurred. Police officials say that at least two sedans and one cargo van collided in the off-ramp. News footage from the scene showed that all the vehicles sustained serious front-end and back-end damage, though it’s unclear how the wreck occurred at this time.
Phoenix fire rescue units and paramedics arrived to the site of the crash around 7:50 p.m., where they treated victims at the scene and appeared to transport at least one victim to a local hospital. However, no further details were released regarding the drivers’ information or their current conditions at this time.
