Phoenix, AZ – Injuries Reported in Wrong-Way Crash on I-10 Near I-17
Phoenix, AZ (November 10, 2019) – A wrong-way crash caused injuries and temporarily closed lanes on eastbound Interstate-10 near the Interstate-17 entrance on early Sunday morning.
According to officials from the Phoenix Police Department, the eastbound lanes were closed at 4:30 a.m. but were reopened by 5:30 a.m. Per information released by the Arizona Department of Transportation, Phoenix fire rescue units and paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after the accident occurred to treat victims and appeared to transport at least one victim to an area hospital via ambulance.
No information has been released on the extent of injuries in the crash, or whether the wrong-way driver was arrested, though the investigation is ongoing.
