Scottsdale, AZ – One Killed, One Injured in Fatal Bicycle Accident on Legacy Blvd
Scottsdale, AZ (February 18, 2021) – One woman is dead and a man has sustained serious injuries after a driver hit them while they were riding their bicycles in the bike lane in Scottsdale on Thursday morning.
Officers with the Scottsdale Police Department said the pair was riding on Legacy Boulevard around 8:30 a.m. heading eastbound when a driver didn’t stay in their lane and hit them near 98th Street. Both victims were taken to the hospital, where the woman died. The man’s injuries are serious but are considered to be life-threatening.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, but there is no word if any charges will be filed.
