Peoria, AZ – Child in Critical Condition After Drowning at 75th Ave
Peoria, AZ (October 11, 2019) – An 18-month-old child was transported to the hospital on Friday morning after being pulled from a swimming pool in Peoria.
According to officers from the Peoria Police Department, the incident occurred at a residence near 75th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. A family member of the homeowner pulled the boy from the pool and applied CPR until paramedics arrived. News video from the scene showed that the swimming pool was not fenced.
Peoria medical technicians units continued life-saving measures before transporting the child to a hospital.
The boy’s condition was initially reported by officials as critical, but officials have since said that his current condition is unknown. Peoria Police Officials said only that the child is alive and being treated at an area hospital.
