Goodyear, AZ – FedEx Driver Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on I-10 at Bullard Ave
Goodyear, AZ (November 16, 2020) – The driver of a FedEx semi-truck was transported to the hospital via ambulance after his truck hit a pole on Sunday night around 11:45 p.m.
Per reports from the Arizona Department of Public Safety and officers with the Goodyear Police Department, the incident appeared to be a possible hit-and-run accident. Officers say that the crash occurred westbound on Interstate 10 near Bullard Avenue. Allegedly, a Honda hit the FedEx truck and then exited the highway after the impact. As a result of the accident, the semi-truck driver swerved to the right and hit a pole, which caused the trailer to split in half.
Local EMTs were dispatched to the scene shortly after the crash occurred and transported the FedEx driver to the hospital for medical treatment.
Several FedEx employees arrived at the scene a short time later to retrieve packages that were inside the trailer.
The investigation is ongoing, but DPS says the driver of the Honda has not been found.
