Phoenix, AZ (September 14, 2020) – One person was killed in a rollover accident that occurred on the South Mountain Loop 202 in Phoenix early Monday morning.

Per reports from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 3:00 a.m. on L-202 at Baseline Road. DPS said the crash involved at least two vehicles, one of which rolled over, causing a person to be ejected from the car. That person was pronounced dead at the scene by Phoenix EMTs.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said that the crash closed the northbound on-ramp at Baseline Road while officers with the Phoenix Police Department investigated.

The names of those involved, as well as details on how the crash happened, have not been released at this time. It’s unclear if any other injuries occurred as a result of the accident.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
