Phoenix, AZ – Woman Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash at Thomas Rd
Phoenix, AZ (August 1, 2020) – Police are investigating a possible hit-and-run accident after a woman was found in the middle of the road critically injured in Phoenix on Saturday evening.
Per reports from the Phoenix Police Department, the woman was found around 6:00 p.m. in the area of Thomas Road and 27th Avenue. Officers say that the woman looked like she was hit by a car that fled the scene of the accident. Crews with the Phoenix Fire Department and local EMTs arrived at the scene shortly after the woman was found and rushed her to the hospital in critical condition. Updates on her current condition have not been provided.
Officers are trying to collect more information on this incident and have asked that anyone with information about the incident to contact police or Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS, or (480) TESTIGO for Spanish speakers.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
