Tucson, AZ – UPDATE: Natalie Obregon Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Campbell Ave
Tucson, AZ (March 23, 2020) – A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car on Friday has been identified, officials say.
After the crash occurred, the pedestrian was taken to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries. She has been identified as 48-year-old Natalie Obregon.
Shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Tucson police officers were dispatched to the area of East Prince Road and North Campbell Avenue. Detectives determined that the driver of a 2006 Honda Ridgeline was traveling eastbound on Prince and approaching Campbell. Obregon was standing on the southwest corner and stepped eastbound into the crosswalk when she was struck by the Honda.
The driver remained at the scene and was not impaired at the time of the crash. No arrests or citations have been issued at this time, though the accident remains under investigation.
